Design Manifesto

I believe good design…

  1. Starts with curiosity.
If you’re not interested in the user’s world, you’ll never design something they care about.

  2. Is interactive, not static.
Design lives in time, not just space. Feedback, motion, affordances—they matter more than pretty pixels.

  3. Makes people feel smart.
Confusing design disempowers. Good design disappears.

  4. Is fast to prototype and slow to assume.
I trust test results over gut feelings. Make it real, even if it’s ugly.

  5. Is playful.
I design experiences, not just solutions. Surprise is part of usefulness.

  6. Respects constraints.
Deadlines, screen size, kid attention spans—constraints make the work interesting.

  7. Is never done.
Every product is a work-in-progress. Good design embraces change.
